How can I request a song?

- There are a couple of ways to go about this. First, go to our “Music” section and click on “requests”, or go to “Contacts” in our navigation menu (on the left) and e-mail the CHUM FM announcer directly. Of course, the easiest way to make a request is to simply click here!

How long will it take for you to play my request?

- It really depends on the request. We get such a wide variety and large volume of requests, it would be impossible to play them all (or even half of them, for that matter). The absolute best way to get a request played on the air is through the “Back In The Day Café” and “Lost ‘80s Brunch”… and you can even make a dedication! Which brings us to our next question…

How can I get a request on the “Back in the Day Café” or the “Lost 80’s Brunch”?

- Well, you can click here or go to the “Music” section and click on “requests”, then fill out the form and click to submit.
- The “Back In The Day Café” and “Lost ‘80s Brunch” are the best vehicles for getting your request played on CHUM FM. For the “Back In The Day Café”, you can send your request by clicking here or you can call us at 416-870-1045, Monday-Friday from 10 am to noon. You can even make a dedication on the air! You can also contact us by text message.  Simply text your request to us at 1045FM (that’s 104536 on your phone).  There’s a 50 cent charge on each message.

- For the “Lost ‘80s Brunch”, you can click here or reach us at a couple of numbers. During the show (Sunday mornings from 9 to noon), call 416-870-1045 and talk to Maie Pauts directly, or call our 24-hour “Brunch” hotline at 416-967-1045 and leave us a message. We could play your request and dedication on the air! Again, you can also reach us by text message.  Simply text your request to us at 1045FM (that’s 104536 on your phone).  50 cent charge per message.

How do I email a CHUM FM DJ?

Simply click on “Contact” from the menu on the left, choose the person you want to reach and then send your message. It’s that easy.
We seriously try to answer every single e-mail message that we get. In the off-chance that you don’t receive a reply, try this e-mail: 411@chumfm.com

How long do I have to wait before I can enter one of your contests again?

Where is your radio station? Is there parking nearby? What’s the closest subway stop?

The CHUM Radio studios are located at 1331 Yonge Street, just south of St Clair. There’s a parking lot located just north of the station on Rosehill Ave. If you’re traveling by subway, get off at the St Clair stop and walk about half a block south.

“I have trouble joining the CHUM Club.”

In order to join the CHUM Club, you’ll need to enable your web browser's cookies. Here's an explanation of a cookie from the Internet Explorer help menu:

"Some Web sites store information in a small text file, called a "cookie," on your hard disk.

Cookies contain information about you and your preferences. For example, if you inquire about a flight schedule at an airline's Web site, the site might create a cookie that contains your itinerary. Or it might only contain a record of which pages within the site you visited, to help the site customize the view for you the next time you visit.

Only the information that you provide, or the choices you make while visiting a Web site, can be stored in a cookie. For example, the site cannot determine your e-mail name unless you choose to type it. Allowing a Web site to create a cookie does not give that or any other site access to the rest of your computer, and only the site that created the cookie can read it."

In order to accept cookies, open up Internet Explorer, click on Tools > Internet Options > Security > Update your Internet Security Level to "medium-high". That way you'll be able to join the 104.5 CHUM Club.
